we may be off in March to April.
Will try to keep everyone updated!

¶ Singapore onwards

Monday, October 20th, 2003

As the only plane of our trip skimmed over the first northern suburbs of
Darwin, which were only just visible in the pre-dawn gloom, the realization
struck us that we had actually managed it - we’d actually cycled to Australia.
16,000km (almost exactly 10,000 miles) and 14 months later we had crossed the Equator
sometime last night.
The last […]

¶ Into Nepal

Tuesday, March 25th, 2003

The 70 km to the Indian Nepal border turned out to be an easy day with half of the journey on flat easy roads and the remaining half potholed and lumpy. Crossing into Nepal one feels the change immediately. Firstly the Nepalis carry everything on their back, you can see the way to the border […]

¶ Journal Across India, (well most of it anyway) Ludhianna to Rudrapur (70km from Nepal border)

Wednesday, March 5th, 2003

Ludhianna was nice in a very untouristy kind of way, we have become experts in judging how many tourists come to a place by their reaction. Normally the heads turn if Jen walks down the street, but if I walk down the road and people stare then it’s a good sign that we are off […]

¶ Amritsar to Ludhiana

Monday, February 24th, 2003

Three weeks since we last turned a pedal! The last time we did any exercise was in Iran, the desert was empty of people and the only vegetation was an occasional scrubby bush every 100m or so and the wind was so strong we were going forwards at 10km per hour at times. Some things […]
